FAQs

How can we assist?

Choosing the ideal educational daycare for your family is a big decision. We know you have questions; our most frequently asked questions are listed below.

Can't seem to find the answer you're looking for? Please ask us! We're prepared to assist.

1. When is tuition due?

Tuition is due weekly by Tuesday evening, for the attendance week. Parents who would like to pay biweekly or monthly must do so in advance.

2. What if my child is sick?

We understand that sickness is likely to occur. However, we strive to keep our environment, our children, and staff safe and healthy. We trust parents to make the best decision for their child when deciding whether to keep them at home or seek medical care.

3. Can I stop by to visit my child?

Yes! You are always welcome to drop by; we have an open-door policy.

4. What is the staff-to-child ratio?

For infants and toddlers, our standard goal is a staff-to-child ratio of 1:4. For older and more independent age groups our staff-to-child ratio is 1:5.

5. Is there a family referral program?

Yes! We sincerely hope you enjoy your experience at Buttons and Bows Daycare and tell all of your friends and family. We offer a Family Rewards Program; if you refer a full-time family, you'll get a $100 tuition credit. If you refer a part-time family, you'll get a $50 tuition credit.

6. Is there any outdoor activities/play?

Yes! We have a completely enclosed outdoor area for children; we encourage nature as a part of our curriculum. The synthetic grass in our outdoor area allows children to engage in educational lessons and activities we plan during the day. Our indoor and outdoor play and learning are well-balanced.

7. Do I need to pack meals for my child?

Children receive a wholesome breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack every day. Meals are made on-site and included in tuition at no extra charge.

8. What are the educators qualifications?

Our educators are state-certified and meet or exceed all childcare standards. Prior to hiring, we confirm educational qualifications and require criminal background checks through local, state, and federal agencies. All educators receive training in early childhood health and safety as well as CPR/AED, First Aid, and EpiPen. In order to improve knowledge of current early childhood education research and to keep skills up to date, educators also participate in annual professional development trainings.

9. Is part-time care and full-time care offered?

Yes! We offer flexible child care options.

10. What if someone other than me or my spouse/partner has to pick up my child?

In order to protect our children, we require that you inform us with the names of anyone who is allowed to pick up your child. When someone other than a family member will be picking up your child, we require advance notification from you and will verify identification. We ask that you make yourself reachable by cell phone so that you can confirm if we have any questions or concerns.
